Students identified for the talent pool have different strengths, challenges, and areas of interest in addition to a variety of social & emotional needs. Programming options for each student will be dependent upon strengths, interests, and needs. The Discovery teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers to provide opportunities for advanced Reading/Language and Mathematics instruction. In addition, students will also participate in periodic enrichment experiences and may be offered opportunities to pursue independent learning projects.

Gifted children experience the world with intensities that can be challenging for them to manage. They need support in order to understand themselves and how to navigate their experiences. Identified students will participate in small groups to address these topics at some point each year and at other times when specific needs or challenges arise.
