A little information about myself:
I grew up in Humboldt. I have 2 BA degrees from Buena Vista; a MA degree from Morningside College & the above endorsements.
I served two years on the State Special Education Advisory Committee.
I have been trained in the Wilson & Barton reading programs for dyslexia.
I organize Sacred Heart's ASK (After School Kids) program for grades 6-8 and our June summer school.
My role as Student Support teacher is to provide support to all teachers. I work with students who may need a student accommodation plan, English Language Learners, or may provide short-term support to a student.
I meet with AEA staff monthly to ensure students are being supported. I am involved with our IEP students and work collaboratively with the WDM teachers who provide services.
At Sacred Heart, we know that students learn differently and we will help your child be successful! I enjoy the opportunity to work with students in small groups. I am always available to answer parent questions.
I enjoy playing piano for our school Masses & working with the student singers so they are confident and enjoy singing for God!
