Sacred Heart’s after school homework program, known as ASK (After School Kids), is a supervised study session where 6th, 7th & 8th grade students can work on homework, study for tests, or receive assistance from teachers. Sue Bata and Will Gavin will assist students as needed. The other middle school teachers are also available in their classrooms until 3:15 each ASK day.
ASK is on Mondays and Wednesdays after school. Snacks will be provided. There is a fee of $100 per trimester, regardless of days attended. Please do not send payment with your registration. YOU WILL BE BILLED THROUGH YOUR FACTS ACCOUNT. You will be notified by e-mail or on SHS website if there is no ASK. (We don’t have it conference weeks or the day before a holiday break.)
*If cost is an issue to your family, please speak with Mr. Ehlinger - we want all to participate!
Out of respect for teachers’ time, it is imperative that students are picked up at 3:45.
If you have any additional questions, please contact Mrs. Bata-Sue.Bata@sacredheartwdm.org, Mr. Gavin - will.gavin@sacredheartwdm.org, or Mr. Steenson - matt.steenson@sacredheartwdm.org
If your child typically doesn’t have much homework, this program may not be the best fit. This program was initially started to help the students that could benefit from extra assistance on daily homework.
